Personal Background and Introduction:

 I am currently an Education Officer for the London Borough of Hounslow, responsible for overseeing the education of children who have chosen to be educated at home. My role involves providing a specialised service to ensure that the Local Authority fulfills its duties to protect and educate these home-educated children. This includes the creation of procedures and policies to ensure the best possible outcomes.

My educational philosophy is rooted in innovation and learner-centered approaches. I believe that education is a dynamic process where students must acquire skills like creativity, adaptability, and problem-solving. In the modern world, digital literacy and technological integration are also paramount in education.

Experience and Expertise:

With a wealth of experience in managing operations and administrative tasks in primary and secondary school contexts, including nurseries and academies, I am well-versed in education legislation, regulations, and processes. My contributions include policy development, form creation, data compilation, and database management.

Achievements and Milestones:

I have successfully overseen an academy with over 1700 students, managing tasks such as DFE returns, nursery financing, school censuses, and more. Currently, I work closely with both families and children to develop optimal education plans for the numerous home-educating families within my borough.

Passion for Education:

The opportunity to positively impact and aid in the development of young minds is a tremendous source of enthusiasm for me. Witnessing children grow, learn, and achieve is exceptionally rewarding.
